CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Charleston city leaders are seeking input from the community on the proposed Medical District Overlay Zone.

A listening session will be held at Charleston City Hall on Wednesday. You are asked to RSVP if you plan to attend.

The proposal would pave the way for a state-of-the-art cancer center and broader medical campus growth at the Medical University of South Carolina.

It was approved in a unanimous decision by the city’s planning commission last week and continues to move through several rounds of public review and approval.
