PALMER LAKE, Colo. (Sept. 9, 2025) — Early results from Palmer Lake’s recall special election show voters favoring the removal of two trustees and approving a ballot initiative on annexations.

Preliminary tallies released Tuesday night were:

Trustee Shana Ball — Yes (Recall): 657; No (Retain): 467

Trustee Kevin Dreher — Yes (Recall): 631; No (Retain): 489

Annexation Initiative — Yes (Pass): 765; No (Fail): 375

Election judges will reconvene Wednesday at 11 a.m. to complete the count. The results remain unofficial until certified by the Town Clerk’s office on Sept. 18.

The recall election was set in June by the Town Board. If the recalls are confirmed, the process to fill the vacant trustee seats will follow.

The next regular town election is scheduled for November 2026.
