NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Zohran Mamdani, the 33-year-old Democratic Socialist, who stunned the political world by winning the Democratic Primary, is now the clear favorite to be the next Mayor of New York City.

New exclusive polling from PIX 11, Emerson College and The Hill shows Mamdani with a 15-point lead over former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo is running an independent campaign after losing the June Democratic Primary to Mamdani. Mamdani is at 43% in the poll and Cuomo is at 28%. They are followed by Republican and Independent candidates, Curtis Sliwa at 10%, and Mayor Eric Adams at 7%.
