Millions of Brits could be facing a chilly start to September after meteorologists forecast snow in the next few days.

A band of low pressure is set to hit the northwest of the UK and drift south as temperatures begin to fall throughout this week.

While parts of the UK saw temperatures as high as 22.7C yesterday (September 9), the warmth Britain has recently seen is expected to drop to a high of only 6C this weekend.

This chilly forecast is set to cause snow to fall in areas of the UK, including the Scottish Highlands and other high areas.
