PHILADELPHIA — After the first week of the NFL season, everybody overreacts and makes year-long predictions based on one set of results.

But it’s way too early to draw significant conclusions about any NFL team. So much changes from now until the end of the season.

The best we can do is evaluate each team’s strengths and weaknesses and project the effects.

Regarding the Eagles , there is not too much to be worried about yet — except for one big issue. Philadelphia’s secondary underwhelmed in the team’s Week 1 win over the Dallas Cowboys and could be a problem all year.

So far, the Eagles have struggled to replace two cornerbacks (Darius Slay and Isaiah Rodgers ) from their 2024 Super Bowl team and also safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to a lesser extent.
