The Malden Police Department said the footage shows two men who entered Peroni's Jewelry at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.

"While one man distracted the employee by asking questions, the second man removed a Rolex watch from its box, which was sitting on the counter (after leading the employee to believe they were going to purchase it), and concealed it in his pocket," police wrote in a statement.

After leaving the jeweler, the men went down Eastern Avenue toward Hillside Avenue and may have entered a vehicle parked in that area, police said.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or those who may have footage from the area
