Summer warmth returns the Chicago area this week, with temperatures gradually increasing and the chance for near 90-degree readings by the weekend, the NBC 5 Storm Team said.
According to NBC 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Alicia Roman, some areas are expected to be in the 80s Wednesday and Thursday, especially inland. Near the lake, temperatures will remain cooler, Roman said, with temperatures in the mid 70s Wednesday and low 70s Thursday.
