COLUMBIA, S.C. — High pressure will continue to control our weather, keeping conditions mainly dry with daytime temperatures running near or just above normal. Sunshine will be the dominant feature, with little to no chance of rain in the forecast.

Today, dry air is firmly in place, which means skies will stay mostly clear and humidity levels will remain low. Afternoon highs will reach the lower to middle 80s, just a touch below what is typical for this time of year.

Dewpoints will dip into the 50s, making for a comfortable feel to the air. Tonight, skies stay clear, and with calm winds, temperatures will cool into the upper 50s to lower 60s. The air will remain too dry for fog to form.

Through the rest of the week, high pressure will stay locked in, providing plenty of sunshine. Thurs
