ARCHDALE, N.C. — Police have taken breaking and entering suspects into custody on Deaton Road in Archdale, police confirmed.

The Archdale Police Department said there were multiple break-ins across the city, especially in the Oak Forest and Rush Hollow areas.

Two juveniles and one adult were arrested. Two stolen vehicles were also recovered, according to police.

Wheatmore Middle School, a nearby school, was placed under a modified lockdown at around 7:26 a.m., district officials said. The lockdown was lifted at 9:07 a.m.

Randolph County Schools said students and staff were not in danger.

“The modified lockdown was a precautionary measure due to a safety concern in the community," said the district.
