STRONGSVILLE, Ohio -- A letter from the union representing Strongsville police accuses city administration officials of planning secretly to merge the Southwest Emergency Dispatch Center in Strongsville with Chagrin Valley Dispatch -- while keeping City Council in the dark.
The Aug. 29 letter from the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 15 in Brunswick adds that the administration withheld information about Berea’s decision to leave Strongsville dispatch from Police Chief Thomas O’Deens.
The letter says O’Deens learned about Berea leaving Strongsville dispatch only after a dispatcher saw a local news report.
