LOS ANGELES, California — Police are investigating after a “severely decomposed” body was found in the front trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to pop singer D4vd.

KABC Channel 7 reports the car had been in an impound lot for a few days. Police were called to the lot at about 12:30 p.m. Monday because of a foul odor coming from the vehicle.

The body was in pieces and was inside a bag, NBC News reports . An online report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office says the victim is a female and had been dead in the car for “an extended period of time.”
