High school football is supposed to be about pride, teamwork, and Friday nights. At Elk Grove High School near Sacramento, the focus has turned to a much more troubling issue. A disturbing locker-room hazing incident has rattled the program and forced school officials to act fast.
Sources told The Sacramento Bee that at least three varsity players targeted a freshman teammate. They reportedly pulled his pants down, mocked him with simulated sexual acts, and someone caught it all on a phone. The school suspended the players right before the home opener, keeping them off the field while the scene unfolded.
