EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The Warrick County Commissioners say, along with the Warrick County Health Department, that AMAX Park has been reopened.
According to a press release, this decision follows discussions with local, state and federal partners, including Environmental Protection Agency, as well as an on-site inspection of the affected areas.
Officials say Vann Park, including the pond and certain surrounding areas, will remain closed to the public until further notice while the EPA continues its investigation.
Community members are asked to not enter Vann Park and are strictly prohibited from fishing in the pond.
The public is reminded to continue exercising caution in the areas impacted by the recent chemical fire.
