CHARISSA Thompson gave a nod on live television to a former Fox NFL star who left for a college head coach position.

The Fox NFL Kickoff host sent a message for her former colleague's recent coaching achievement.

The 43-year-old Thompson was alongside Charles Woodson and Julian Edelman for the Week 1 edition of Fox NFL Kickoff on Sunday.

During the early minutes of the program, she was ready to preview the league's first Sunday of action for viewers.

But first, Thompson made sure to give a shout-out to NFL legend Michael Vick, who had previously worked on Fox NFL Kickoff.

Earlier this year, Vick accepted the Norfolk State University college football head coach job after being with Fox Sports for nine years.
