Sunday Night Football will place two young quarterbacks in the primetime spotlight, as Michael Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons will travel to Minnesota to face J.J. McCarthy and the Vikings.

Penix and McCarthy were taken just two picks apart in the 2024 NFL Draft . The Falcons stunned football fans by taking Penix No. 8 overall, and the Vikings swooped in to select McCarthy at No. 10.

The two signal callers have made just five career NFL starts combined entering Sunday's showdown. Penix went 1-2 in three starts to close out 2024 and fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1. McCarthy made his NFL debut in Week 1 after missing the entire 2024 season with a torn meniscus and helped the Vikings come back to defeat the Chicago Bears
