TOMPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A Glasgow man is faces an attempted murder charge after a shooting incident in Monroe County.

According to court documents, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says Caleb McClellan, 20, of Glasgow, was a passenger in a vehicle just after midnight on Tuesday.

McClellan allegedly fired a pistol at another vehicle with four people inside.

The vehicle was struck once, and no injuries have been reported.

Later, an officer conducted an unrelated traffic stop on the vehicle occupied by McClellan. He was in the back seat.

Officers say a 9mm pistol was located in the vehicle.

A warrant for McClellan’s arrest on the charge of attempted murder was issued Tuesday morning.
