WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – A burn ban for Warren County is in effect for the remainder of September.
According to an executive order, the ban will remain in effect all month long. The order states this is due to a lack of rain in recent weeks, leading to an increased risk for wildfires.
The order states that it bans all open burning outside in Warren County. This is effective immediately.
This order includes lighting of fireworks and burning any material outdoors.
Following the end of the month, fall fire hazard season will remain in effect from Oct. 1 through Dec. 15, which will prohibit burning within 150 feet of woodlands and will be forbidden between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
