WASHINGTON — When the Season 22 of "The Bachelorette" premieres in 2026, fans may find a familiar face ready to hand out the roses.

Taylor Frankie Paul, one of the stars of "Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," has been tapped as the next star of the reality dating show. Season 22 will begin sometime in 2026.

Paul confirmed she was re-entering the televised dating world in an episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast.

Paul's season is a rare departure from the formula usually used by the ABC show. Traditionally, a runner-up from the past season of "The Bachelor" is selected as the next Bachelorette, and vice versa. Even when it's not the runner-up, the headliner for one of the shows tends to be somebody already in the Bachelor Nation.
