PINSON, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A Pinson man is dead after crashing his vehicle early Wednesday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Gregory Douglas Harper, 23, was driving in the 7100 block of Highway 79 when his vehicle left the road and hit a tree.

He was taken to UAB Hospital where he died at 2:35 a.m.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
