Wildfire smoke continues to effect the air quality in the Cariboo region.
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, the Cariboo remains under a special air quality statement issued by Environment Canada.
The area under the statement ranges from north of Prince George, south to Clinton and from west of Quesnel to Valemount.
"Numerous regions across B.C. are being impacted or are likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke over the next 24-48 hours," said Environment Canada. "During a wildfire, smoke conditions can change quickly over short distances and can vary considerably hour-by-hour."
On B.C.'s air quality index , Prince George, Quesnel, and Williams Lake are set to have the worst in the province, ranging from a 6-7 on the scale.
