COXSACKIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Coxsackie-Athens Central School District will be holding a proposed capital project referendum in October. The project includes two separate propositions, totaling over $23 million.

The proposal's first proposition, titled Proposition A, will focus on infrastructure, classroom and site improvements. The $17.7 million plan will include the following: • Renovation of elementary school kitchens, elementary school second-floor classrooms, high school science classrooms • Replacement of playground equipment with accessible designs • Upgrades to security, domestic water piping, HVAC, select roofing and drainage systems • Reconstruction of middle school parking lot and access drive
