Burns aficionados from around the globe descended on Kilmarnock at the weekend as the town hosted the annual conference of the Robert Burns World Federation (RBWF) for the first time in over 30 years.
RBWF members from Scotland, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Canada and North America attended the conference and AGM which were held to celebrate the 140th year of the creation of the federation which has its headquarters in Kilmarnock.
During the three-day festivities, delegates were treated to a packed programme of Burns-themed visits and entertainment including a trip to the Dick Institute to see the press that was used to print the First Edition of the poet’s works.
They also enjoyed an afternoon in Mauchline, where they visited the Burns House Museum, Nanse Tinnock’s Hoose
