CHICAGO — Felony charges have been filed against a Chicago man accused of robbing a USPS letter carrier on the city's South Side late last year.

According to the United States Postal Inspection Service, 24-year-old Joshua Walder has been charged with one felony count of robbery, one felony count of burglary and four felony counts of theft of government property.

Investigators say the charges stem from Walder's alleged role in the robbery of a USPS letter carrier on Nov. 14, 2024.

Authorities said the incident allegedly unfolded on that day in the 6200 block of South Evans Avenue, in Woodlawn.

According to investigators, Walder allegedly approached the letter carrier and demanded postal property under the threat of force. Walder then allegedly got inside the letter carrier's vehicle and
