Weekends aren’t going to be the same at Fox News Channel .
The Fox Corp.-backed cable news outlet unveiled a slate of new assignments for its weekend programming, with Washington correspondents Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy taking up an hour that has for more than a decade been earmarked for media criticism. “MediaBuzz,” led by longtime media reporter Howard Kurtz, will end its run and be replaced on Sundays at 11 a.m. by “The Sunday Briefing,” which will feature Heinrich or Doocy in a single-anchor format.
Kurtz, who has been covering the media industry since 1990 for outlets ranging from The Washington Post and The Daily Beast — as well as during a 15-year stint on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” — will remain a Fox News contributor, and is likely to continue a podcast he does for
