It's Week 3 of the high school football season in Michigan and everyone is still figuring each other out on the field.

After two weeks of action, Michigan sports writers have their feelings about who the competitors are and they let them be known with the first batch of Michigan Sports Writers High School Football Rankings, released Wednesday, Sept. 10.

There’s still some division and figuring out even for the sports writers, as across the board, only Jackson Lumen Christi came away with all five first place votes in Division 6.

Orchard Lake St. Mary’s in Division 2, Grand Rapids Catholic Central in Division 5 and Pickford in 8-Player Division 1 earned four first place votes.
