Man sentenced to up to 60 years for 2015 murders of two Pittsburgh women; family devastated by plea deal

For more than a decade, Robin Crumpton waited to be her family’s voice in court.

Her mother, Valorie Crumpton, and niece, Tionna Banks, couldn’t speak for themselves anymore.

They’d been bludgeoned to death in May 2015 by Ms. Banks’ ex-boyfriend, Cesar Mazza. The ongoing argument between the former couple, authorities have said, stemmed from the fact that Ms. Banks, 19, refused to name their child after Mazza.
