A Warren County teenager has been charged after he allegedly planned a mass shooting at his high school.

The 18-year-old faces two misdemeanor counts of making terroristic threats after he told police on Sept. 3 a detailed plan about how he would carry out an attack on Warren Area High School, according to court records.

On Tuesday, Warren County School District Superintendent Gary Weber released a statement about the charges, which were filed Sept. 5.

“I want to reassure you that from the very beginning, the District worked closely with law enforcement to address the situation,” Mr. Weber said. “At no time were students or staff in danger, and steps were taken immediately to ensure the safety of our schools.”
