Mounties in Cold Lake are seeking tips from the public after two men were found in critical condition in a Walmart parking lot on Monday morning.

In a phone call with Postmedia on Wednesday, Alberta RCMP Const. Mathew Howell said that at roughly 3 a.m. officers responded to a call of two unresponsive men found in a parking lot of Walmart, located at 4702-43 Ave.

Both men were treated my emergency crews, and transported to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance. Howell said the investigation is still ongoing, but initial reports suggest that this was a targeted incident.

“Both men suffered serious injuries, but neither of the men were shot. This incident wasn’t gun-related,” said Howell.
