A colorful and eclectic selection of artwork by local artists is on view for the Falmouth Art Center’s autumn juried exhibition, “Petals and Palettes.” The show will run through September 29.

Floral arrangements designed by Falmouth Garden Club members are also on display.

The juror for the show was Michelle Law, an artist and curator who installs shows at Cotuit Center for the Arts and the Cahoon Museum of American Art.

Law chose 71 pieces out of the 227 submitted.

“I’ve always been drawn to works that capture a moment, be it quiet or intense, and fill my senses with memories of my own experiences. The exemplary works selected for this exhibition vary in mood and medium, and each have the ability to elicit emotions that we all have known,” Law wrote of her selection process.
