Through the month of September the Falmouth Public Library will host the exhibit “Sourced from the Sea: Atlantic Impressions,” featuring work by Stephanie King.

King’s work blends mixed media and botanical illustration with authentic seaweed and botanical pressings. Each piece captures both the beauty and mystery of the coastal landscape, offering viewers an assemblage that is at once realistic and whimsical.

Drawing on the Victorian tradition of seaweed pressing, King reimagines this practice for the present day. Her work introduces modern shapes, colors and techniques while honoring the delicacy of the original craft.
