LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The Lexington Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect from a shooting that happened in downtown Lexington.

On August 29, around 2:12 am, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of West Short St for a shooting with a victim. When officers arrived, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital with reported non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, police say detectives identified the suspect as Jonathan Streete, 29.

Streete currently has active warrants for assault and five counts of wanton endangerment.

If located, the public should not approach him and call local law enforcement.
