Kirill Kaprizov has allegedly turned down a contract offer from the Minnesota Wild that would've made him the highest-paid player in National Hockey League history.

"Sources say [Minnesota Wild] superstar Kirill Kaprizov’s camp turned down an extension offer believed to be 8-years, $128 million in a meeting on Tuesday in Minnesota that would have made him the highest-paid player in [NHL} history in both AAV ($16 million) and total dollars," said Frank Seravalli, a respected insider.

Wild owner Craig Leipold said last week that the franchise plans to make Kaprizov the highest-paid player in the league, but Kaprizov reportedly saying no to the $16 million-per-season offer raises eyebrows.
