LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration said medical marijuana sales in the state are at $193 million since Jan. 1 through Aug. 31.

Officials added that at this time last year, sales were at $182.5 million, calling the year-to-year difference “significant.”

In July and August, Arkansas collected $5.38 million in tax revenue from marijuana sales, officials said, adding that since Jan.1 through Aug. 31, the state has collected a total of $21.57 million in tax revenue from marijuana sales.
