Paramount has made a high-profile hire from Meta Platforms Inc. as it seeks to transform itself into a company at the cutting edge of both technology and entertainment.

The company says that Dane Glasgow will join as chief product officer, reporting directly to CEO David Ellison, while also working closely with direct-to-consumer chief Cindy Holland.

Glasgow was most recently vp of product management at Facebook, where he led the teams responsible for Reels, Marketplace, feed, stories and other critical features. He also previously worked at Microsoft and eBay, and was a vp at Google leading the team responsible for Google Maps and Google Earth.
