AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Zoo’s beloved Halloween tradition is getting a seasonal upgrade for its 38th year, now rebranded as "Boo at the Zoo: Ultimate Fall Fest."

The event will run Oct. 11–12, 18–19 and 25–26 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., with a special members-only preview on Oct. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The zoo will transform into a fall wonderland with themed areas including Halloween Town, Witch’s Lair and Autumn Adventure. Guests can enjoy seasonal activities such as pumpkin bowling, potato toss, character meet-and-greets and a monster show. Trick-or-treating will continue along the Enchanted Candy Trail.

Adults 21 and older can explore a new Oktoberfest area, while all guests are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. However, adults are prohibited from wearing face coverings such as mask
