CARMEL, Ind. — A Carmel man has struck gold after winning $583,000 in the CA$H 5 jackpot as part of the Hoosier Lottery!

The winner said that the day of the drawing was a normal Sunday. He took a bike ride, mowed his lawn, and purchased tickets at a Carmel Speedway for the drawing.

The following day he returned to the same store to scan his tickets from the previous night’s drawing, and when he scanned his ticket he received a message stating he would need to contact the Hoosier Lottery to claim his prize.

“It was surreal,” he said. “I definitely didn’t sleep that night.”
