If something was wrong, chances were Brian Dingman could fix it.

On the basketball court, in the classroom, at home or the family cottage, Dingman knew just how to make things right.

“He made us feel really safe,” said Dawn Dingman, his wife of 22 years. “He was our rock we could go to.”

A devoted father, loving husband, loyal friend, passionate coach and respected educator, Brian Dingman, 57, died Sept. 5.

“He was just a kind, patient person,” Dawn Dingman said. “I can’t say enough good things about that.”

The couple found each other later in life but still packed in years of laughter, love and adventure, whether it was sharing a nap or a good book on the beach, or “special” trips to Florida during March break. Their daughters – Jessie, 17, and Mackie, 19 – were “the joys of his life
