Warren County supervisors appear deadlocked on how to fill a board seat after a supervisor quit the board last week.
The Board of Supervisors discussed the options for a “path forward” at a work session on Tuesday. Either the board or a judge must appoint someone to fill the Fork District seat formerly held by Vicky Cook. Planning Commission Vice Chair Hugh Henry is running uncontested for the district in this year’s election.
Chairman Jerome “Jay” Butler and Supervisor Cheryl Cullers said at the work session that supervisors should appoint Henry to the seat. Vice Chairman John Stanmeyer and Supervisor Richard Jamieson said they want to wait and see who applies, although Jamieson indicated he’d want someone who mirrors Cook's viewpoint.
