Two people have been seriously injured after being stabbed at a busy bus station. Police were called to Wigan Interchange, in the town centre, at around 5:20pm this evening (Wednesday, September 10).

A 42-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were found to have suffered injuries that have been described by police as 'serious but not life-threatening.'

A teenage girl has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She remains in custody for questioning.

An investigation is underway with officers urging any witnesses to come forward.
