Lacombe and District Big Brothers Big Sisters is set to host its second annual Rubber Duck Drop.
The event, planned for Sept. 27, will be held at the Stirling Industry Sports Park in Blackfalds. The event starts at 12 p.m. and at 2:30 p.m., 1,300 rubber ducks will be dropped from a helicopter, each one hoping to land closest to the target. The person whose duck hits the mark wins half the total funds raised from duck sales. Each duck costs $10 and 50 per cent of the proceeds go towards Lacombe and District Big Brothers Big Sisters.
