EVERGREEN, Colo. — At least two students were shot at Evergreen High School on Wednesday, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.

The students are enroute to the hospital, the sheriff's office said.

Jeffcom911 tweeted at 12:40 p.m. that there were reports of an active assailant in the area of the high school.

"If you have children who attend the school, please do not go directly to the school as it is still an active scene," Jeffcom911 said.

The reunification center is at Wilmot Elementary School at 5124 S. Hatch Drive. Jeffcom911 said parents should respond to that location and not to Evergreen High School.
