Shriver Hall Concert Series (SHCS) will begin its 60 th anniversary season with an Oct. 5 performance featuring music by Johannes Brahms, Clara and Robert Schumann, and Amanda Maier.

The opening concert marks the return of violinist Gil Shaham and pianist Orli Shaham, siblings renowned in their own rights. Gil Shaham is a Grammy-winning violinist whom The Guardian described as “among the most inspired violinists of his generation.” Orli Shaham was lauded as a “brilliant pianist” by The New York Times. They have each appeared separately in the SHCS, but the Oct. 5 concert will be a rare duo-recital.
