Conservative Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah on Sept. 10, USA Today reported.

Kirk, 31, was attacked during a question-and-answer session with students. The university said a suspect had been taken into custody.

Politicians nationwide condemned the attack on the political activist. New Jersey politicians also spoke out against the shooting.
