SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Six years ago today, Sioux Falls was hit by three separate tornadoes late in the night.
Two EF-2 tornadoes developed in southern Sioux Falls - one by the Avera Heart Hospital, the other near 85th Street and Western.
Shortly after, the third EF-2 tornado down near 41st street and Kiwanis, traveling southeast 3/4 of a mile.
Eight people were injured, and multiple buildings suffered damage in the storm.
All tornadoes struck around 11 p.m.
