The New England Patriots cut kicker John Parker Romo in the offseason, but he is reportedly joining the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad as the team attempts to bring in competition for Younghoe Koo after a critical miss in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Romo never kicked in a game for the Patriots, but was brought in last December and was competing during camp with sixth-round selection Andres Borregales this preseason. He would ultimately lose the job.

Romo played in four games with the Minnesota Vikings last season before joining the Patriots. He would go 11-for-12 on field goal attempts and 7-for-8 on extra points.
