LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A new video released by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) shows a vehicle chase on the south side of Laredo.

On Sunday, September 7, a driver in a silver SUV was stopped by troopers. Reports indicate that when the trooper attempted to approach the SUV, the vehicle sped away. DPS followed the SUV, which eventually lost control due to the rainy conditions.

Several people were seen running out of the SUV, with five individuals being arrested, including a 12-year-old Mexican native.

DPS says they are still searching for the driver involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
