SAUGERTIES, N.Y. — A Catskill driver suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision in the southbound lane of the New York State Thruway, state police said Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Sept. 9, at about 1:50 p.m., a 2023 Honda, driven by Ray Urbina, 37, of Elmsford, was southbound in the right lane when Urbina reportedly followed too closely and attempted to change lanes unsafely, police said. In doing so, the Honda struck a 2012 Dodge, driven by William M. Henning, 64, of Catskill.

Following the impact, Henning’s vehicle collided with a reflective road marker before leaving the roadway and coming to rest in a ditch. Henning was taken to HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston for evaluation and treatment, police said.

Urbina was not injured and no tickets were issued. Originally Published:
