WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Maggi Meyer first went to St. Jude's campus in Memphis, Tennessee, as an undergraduate student. She heard a physical therapist talk on a panel and thought that it was the ultimate dream job.

When families walk into St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, they are bracing for a battle.

"Anyone who's been impacted by a cancer or a catastrophic disease knows how it blindsides you, and your entire world stops," Meyer said.

She works with those patients as a physical therapist.

"So for little ones, like I said, the milestones being able to crawl, walk. And then for the older ones, being able to walk independently, go up and down stairs, do all of the things that they want and need to be able to do," Meyer said.
