Cory Tukeli’s fleet of e-bikes has arrived in Sarnia.

The Current Micromobility owner won city council approval earlier this year to create e-bike drop-off and pick-up points in local parks and green spaces

Tukeli had hoped to kickstart the pilot during the spring and summer, but delivery of the 25 km/h, pedal-assist, Okai bikes took longer than expected.

Tukeli said he’s excited to get going.

“I’m glad we have some really nice weather right now,” he said at a ribbon-cutting event Wednesday, officially launching the three-year pilot project.

Tukeli said he’s added two Lambton College locations – by the college’s event centre, and by it’s ‘Lambton’ sign – making a total of 11 spots in the city people can use an app to rent the e-bikes.
