STORRS, Conn. — When UConn football head coach Jim Mora met the press Tuesday morning, he knew exactly how much time had passed since his team suffered a painful overtime loss at Syracuse, 27-20.

“We’ve had about 64 hours, we’ve had four meetings, a walk-through and a practice to learn the lessons from a really tough loss Saturday. Now, we’re in the process of applying those lessons and moving forward,” Mora said.

The Huskies were in control for nearly the entire game in the JMA Wireless Dome, as they tried to secure the program’s biggest road victory in well over a decade.

For most of the fourth quarter, UConn led 17-6.
